As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of data systems and pipelines that support AI/ML applications within a Navy IT command. You will collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers and other technical teams to ensure the efficient and scalable processing of data. This role involves applying data engineering best practices to develop reliable data pipelines and architectures, enabling the effective deployment of machine learning models and supporting mission-critical defense operations. You will also support data quality efforts, ensure compliance with security protocols, and contribute to improving data workflows across the client’s IT systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
- Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines and data processing workflows
- Active DoD Secret clearance
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting AI/ML data workflows
- Data aggregation experience using Jupiter
- Familiarity with scalable data architectures and performance optimization
Responsibilities
