About the position

The Data Engineer/Analyst position at Eastman Kodak Company is focused on supporting the Film Sensitizing operations within the Wide Roll Film Manufacturing division. This role involves providing systems and data support for various mini-factories that produce essential components for photographic film products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced production environment, addressing data flow processes, maintaining inventory control, and troubleshooting data transfer issues between systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data and systems support to operation teams by addressing raw materials, finished goods, and work in process information transactions.
  • Respond to data flow process needs for both component materials and the roll-to-roll coating machine.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control between SAP and shop floor manufacturing systems.
  • Monitor systems daily for processing errors/failures.
  • Investigate and resolve data errors across systems.
  • Drive improvements to reduce waste and improve reliability.
  • Provide 24x5 support for shop floor manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with corporate IT support for problem resolutions and potential future fixes.
  • Balance production priorities with project investigations.
  • Adhere to Kodak safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience working with relational databases, using SQL and RDO to extract or update data.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, Pascal, C++, Python, and VB.Net.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Wonderware, SQL Databases, RDB Databases, Windows Servers, and Excel/VBA.
  • Experience with platform updates and Easy Label familiarity.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and effective communication and listening skills.
  • Willingness to accept ownership and responsibility for resolving issues.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or higher degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Management, or Business Analyst.
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in IT or IT Support or Manufacturing Support.
  • Work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
