About the position

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in co-designing and implementing smart, scalable, real-world data solutions within a multi-cloud environment. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and modeling techniques to effectively drive our data strategy forward. You will be working closely with business teams to discover and understand their data needs, ensuring that the solutions you design are high-performance and scalable while minimizing technical debt. Your expertise in Azure data services, including SQL MI, Redis Cache, and PostgreSQL, will be essential in leveraging cloud-native services for data storage, processing, and analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying efficient and reliable data integration processes that enhance data flow across the organization. You will implement strong and proactive security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data governance standards. Additionally, you will analyze and optimize data architectures to ensure tight performance and scalability, mastering ongoing data quality throughout its lifecycle. Building strong relationships with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders will be key to understanding requirements and providing the necessary technical guidance to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Discover and understand the data needs of the business teams and design high-performance, scalable solutions with minimal technical debt.
  • Specialize in Azure data services, including SQL MI, Redis Cache, and PostgreSQL, along with other cloud-native services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Develop and deploy efficient, reliable data integration processes to enhance data flow across the organization.
  • Implement strong and proactive security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure data governance.
  • Analyze and optimize data architectures for tight performance and scalability.
  • Master ongoing data quality throughout its lifecycle.
  • Create strong relationships with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud providers, with a strong focus on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PostGres, ElasticSearch, Redis, and ETL processes.
  • Expertise in building high-performance data pipelines and optimizing workflows for new features.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing, big data, and data lake concepts.
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, Scala, and Java.
