About the position

Premier, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will manage the acquisition, storage, modeling, and presentation of data to support efficient consumption by downstream users and applications. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that necessary data is available, accurate, and easily accessible for a wide range of analytical use cases. You will interact directly with a diverse group of stakeholders and peers, helping to drive solution development in an Agile environment. We prioritize fast delivery with frequent feedback over perfect solutions, and you will be expected to work independently to elucidate requirements, seek feedback, explore new technologies, and maintain a relevant skillset. As a Data Engineer, you will support the solutions under your management, which includes training teammates and users, quickly engaging with critical issues to drive efficient resolution, and proactively identifying risks for mitigation. You will optimize your solutions by leveraging the latest technology, best practices, third-party solutions, and resource/solution rationalization. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with four years of experience in related occupations. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in scripting, SQL, and programming languages, particularly Python, as well as experience with data storage technologies such as databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Additionally, you will need three years of experience in data pipelining and workflow orchestration, utilizing tools like Google Cloud Composer, Apache Airflow, and Google Cloud Dataflow. Familiarity with common data interfaces, APIs, and Business Intelligence tools is also essential. This position allows for telecommuting and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. Candidates must have the authority to work permanently in the U.S. If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply at www.jobpostingtoday.com (Ref.# 36573).
