About the position

The Data Engineer role focuses on migrating on-premise servers to the cloud and building an enterprise data platform from the ground up. This position involves collaborating with various business units to understand their data needs and ensuring data is loaded into the new platform efficiently. The engineer will be responsible for developing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and making data more ingestible, without any involvement in machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Migrate on-prem servers to the cloud.
• Build an enterprise data platform from the ground up.
• Collaborate with business units to gather data needs.
• Load data into the new platform.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines.
• Ensure pipeline quality and data preparation.
• Make data more ingestible.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Data Bricks or comparable tools.
• Experience with Azure.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of data modeling and syntax.
