About the position

The Data Engineer position at Lenovo involves supporting site-wide data analysis from various internal data sources, creating insights and dashboards, and providing reports to internal stakeholders. This role requires working on-site five days a week, with occasional weekend and holiday work, and focuses on data management and analytics within the SAP system and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Support site-wide data analysis from various internal Lenovo data sources.
• Create insights and dashboards from raw data.
• Provide reports to internal stakeholders at the site and within Lenovo.
• Work within the SAP system, LUDP, and SQL Databases to pull in required data for analysis and reporting.
• Lead or support project work related to building site-wide dashboards, automation, and reports.
• Prepare and attend mandatory site-wide meetings.
• Prepare Bi-Weekly Executive Business Review charts.
• Automate reporting for Fulfillment and Services teams from existing databases and internal sources.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing across systems being deployed.
• Back up site Data Engineers and mentor junior data engineers.
• Perform database management and security checks.
• Understand and adhere to industry-wide data security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or data science.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst.
• Professional Certifications from Google or IBM preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, including pivot tables and macros.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as SQL, Qliksense, and Power BI.
