About the position

DataFielder Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to work remotely, focusing on the acquisition, evaluation, management, and analytics of large healthcare data assets. This role is essential for providing operational and technical support to enable analytics, visualization, and machine learning on complex healthcare data, thereby supporting public health use cases and client programmatic activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational, data management, technical/engineering, and analytic support for large volumes of complex healthcare data.
• Develops, enhances, and scales technical capabilities for effective use of healthcare data investments in an Enterprise Data Analytics and Visualization (EDAV) platform.
• Supports client programmatic and response activities through data engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with data engineering and implementing data pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience developing with Python and SQL in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with software delivery lifecycle practices, including continuous integration, configuration management, unit testing, and Agile development.
• Experience working with and optimizing large-scale data systems.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience working with big data technologies and distributed computing processing.
• 3+ years of experience working in Azure or AWS cloud in a development capacity.
• Experience with data ingest and analytics tools, including Data Factory, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Power BI, Tableau.
• Ability to implement ITIL methodologies.
• Ability to quickly learn technical concepts.
• Ability to communicate with multiple functional groups and leadership.
• Ability to display a positive, can-do attitude to solve challenges and collaborate effectively.
