About the position

At Dycom Industries, as a Data Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain our data integration solutions, leveraging your strong expertise in Data Integration Services (such as SSIS) and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our data processes. You will be responsible for creating and managing ETL packages that extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts. Your work will involve integrating data from multiple sources, including relational databases, flat files, APIs, and other data repositories, while optimizing package performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high data processing efficiency. In this position, you will implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with data architects, database administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data integration solutions that meet business needs. You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for ETL packages, data workflows, and integration processes, as well as conducting thorough testing and debugging of ETL packages to identify and resolve any issues or errors. Additionally, you will provide support and troubleshooting for production ETL processes and resolve data-related issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on ETL
  • Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Proficiency in developing SQL and T-SQL
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and scheduled ETL processes
  • Familiarity with other data integration tools and technologies is a plus
  • Experience with ERP data integration concepts is a plus
  • AWS Glue, Athena is considered a plus but not required
