About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves consulting on and participating in moderately complex initiatives within Specialty Software Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning, and resolving engineering challenges while collaborating with client personnel.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Specialty Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Specialty Software Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Specialty Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building data processing frameworks.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with developing and maintaining efficient and scalable data pipelines leveraging PySpark and workflow orchestration tools.
• 1+ years of experience in using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• 3+ years of Python programming experience.
• Experience with SQL and database management systems.
• Experience with Linux.
