About the position

As a Data Engineer at Virtuous Tek Inc, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, deploying, and monitoring data engineering solutions that support high-volume and fault-tolerant data pipelines. This role requires expertise in Distributed Cloud Technologies and Python, as you will be building large-scale batch and real-time cloud-based distributed data systems. Your work will ensure low-latency delivery of high-quality data for machine learning systems, which is critical for the next generation of products and data initiatives. You will also be tasked with optimizing and integrating distributed data architectures, which involves designing, developing, and managing automated workflows using various technologies such as Python, GIS, SQL, Azure Cloud, Alteryx, Microsoft Services, Snowflake, and more. This is aimed at minimizing human error and enhancing the efficiency of data processing. The position requires you to work under supervision and may involve travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering principles and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex data challenges. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Engineering (any), Business, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • 12 months of experience in the job offered or as an IT Consultant, Analyst, Programmer, Engineer, Developer, or in a related field.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Apache Spark, Azure Cloud, Databricks, Terraform, Kubernetes, Snowflake, DBT Analytics, Linux, SQL, and Python.
