About the position

As a Data Engineering and Analytics Manager at Thrive, you will lead the data engineering and analytics efforts, focusing on enhancing data maturity and building a robust data infrastructure. This role is crucial for delivering actionable insights that support business and product decisions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data & analytics engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support as a player-coach.
• Design and develop features to enhance the capabilities and performance of the data analytics pipeline.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Product Analytics, and Data Science teams to ensure product KPIs are reliable and accurate.
• Articulate the data engineering vision and strategy to internal teams and stakeholders through effective storytelling and presentations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-impact data and analytics engineering projects.
• Expertise in modern data stack components and infrastructure, including BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Segment, Dagster, dbt, Kubernetes, and Airbyte.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Extensive experience in data modeling, including star-schema and events-based modeling, preferably using dbt.
• Proven ability to ensure data reliability, accuracy, and security, including implementing data governance best practices.
