About the position

The Data Engineering Assistant at Leidos will provide essential data analytic support for research projects focused on psychological readiness assessment and human performance. This role involves cleaning and preparing large datasets, generating innovative data analysis solutions, and developing reports with visualizations to support the U.S. Navy Undersea Warfighter. The position is based at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory in Groton, CT, and requires collaboration with various teams to achieve research goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data analytic support for research projects in psychological assessment, cognitive science, and human performance.
  • Clean and prepare large data sets for analysis, integrating multiple data sources.
  • Generate creative data reduction and analysis solutions for experimental and non-experimental results.
  • Develop data reports with visualizations per the specifications of the principal scientist(s).
  • Provide documentation support with reports, papers, research protocols, presentations, and posters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • At least two years of applicable experience in data analysis or related fields.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a SECRET classification access level (preference for candidates with existing clearance).
  • US citizenship is required due to Federal contract requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
