The Data Engineering Intern position at Teradata is designed for students pursuing a degree in data-related fields. Interns will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and assist in designing data architecture and applications that enhance data accessibility and insights.

Responsibilities

• Help to collect, consolidate, and map customer engagement data from various company platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the data ecosystem.
• Meet with stakeholders and define business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate in the design of the target data architecture and integration strategy.
• Assist in the design and possible development of a user-friendly application that enables cross-departmental access to insights.
• Apply a data-centric mindset and understanding of information architecture to analyze trends, identify gaps, and support initiatives for improving data flow and accessibility.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD degree program with graduation dates between December 2024-June 2026.
• Knowledge of data storage technologies like databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Experience or exposure to understanding of data normalization, indexing, and data relationships.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for data engineering tasks.
• Problem-solving skills to handle large and complex datasets efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in Analytics, AI, and LLM is a big plus.
