About the position

As the Data Engineering Manager at Delta Defense, you will lead the development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and drive data solutions across the organization. This role involves mentoring a team of engineers, refining Agile processes, and collaborating with company leadership to align data projects with strategic business goals. You will be responsible for ensuring high uptime, reliability, and data quality while fostering a data-driven culture within the company.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
• Ensure high uptime, reliability, and data quality of the EDW.
• Mentor and develop the data engineering team to enhance their skills.
• Collaborate with analysts and tooling teams to drive business priorities.
• Implement effective methodologies in software design and architecture.
• Establish and maintain monitoring tools to ensure platform stability.
• Oversee data quality and governance within assigned areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software development or data engineering.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing a data engineering or business intelligence team.
• Expertise in SQL and ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Proficiency in data modeling methodologies, preferably Kimball and DataVault.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau.
