About the position

The Data Engineering Manager at DriveTime Family of Brands is responsible for leading a team of data engineers to develop strategic data solutions that enhance business operations and maintain a competitive edge. This role involves collaboration with other engineers on key features, mentoring team members, and driving initiatives that address business-critical projects using advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers to build strategic data solutions.
• Collaborate with other engineers to work on key features across DriveTime.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Drive initiatives and solve problems related to data engineering projects.
• Convey strategy and accuracy to top-level decision-makers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience.
• Experience leading teams on large projects with direct reports.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Ability to establish cross-functional relationships with business and technology partners.
• End-to-end understanding of database design concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
