About the position

The Vendor Data Compliance team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of vendor data contractual compliance. This includes engaging with vendor audits, reviewing and certifying market data use cases from both internal and external applications, and designing and implementing entitlement controls and usage metering for real-time and non-real-time data. The team ensures accurate inventory chargeback, fulfills vendor of records reporting obligations, and manages vendor data notifications. This role is crucial in designing and building out the Vendor Data Marketplace, which encompasses cataloging, workflow management, entitlement, usage metering, and inventory chargeback processes. As a Software Engineer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with vendor managers, business analysts, and vendor data pipeline engineers. Your contributions will directly impact the improvement of the company's commercial compliance posture, optimization of market data expenses, automation of workflows, and enhancement of the user experience with vendor data. You will be responsible for driving application reviews, recertification, and mitigation efforts to ensure compliance with market data vendor policies and contractual agreements. Additionally, you will engage with market data vendor auditors to facilitate on-site visits, reconcile records, negotiate, and close audits. Your role will also involve streamlining and automating vendor of records reports to meet contractual obligations by leveraging modern data platform tools. You will develop, maintain, and manage a vendor data catalog that enhances discoverability in the Vendor Data Marketplace.
