About the position

The Data Enterprise Architect will lead the development and implementation of the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. This role involves designing scalable data architecture, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams, and establishing data governance policies to maintain data integrity and compliance. The architect will also evaluate and implement advanced data technologies, primarily focusing on Snowflake, while mentoring junior architects and representing the organization in industry forums.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and define the enterprise data strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Design and implement scalable and flexible data architecture for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate data initiatives with business needs.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge data technologies, focusing on Snowflake as the primary data warehouse.
  • Oversee data integration across systems and departments, supporting real-time and batch processing.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python and SQL to design and implement optimized data solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior architects, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, representing the organization in industry forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, or data management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and cloud-based data solutions with a focus on Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Proven leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving data initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or Snowflake certifications.
