About the position

The Data Entry Assistant at Diamond Precision Products plays a vital role in supporting the production accounting processes. This part-time position involves accurately recording and tracking financial transactions related to manufacturing operations, ensuring data integrity and collaboration with finance and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Record daily production data accurately into accounting systems.
• Generate production reports detailing materials usage, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
• Reconcile production records with inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Open work orders, issue materials to work orders, establish work order routing and close work orders.
• Reconcile physical inventory.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software.
• Alere and Paylocity experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Inquisitive, will ask questions regarding observations.
• Analytical, will collect and analyze information and work on solving the problem.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology is a plus.
