About the position

One Kalakaua Senior Living Association is seeking a dedicated Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Data Entry Clerk is to perform a variety of administrative duties as assigned, while also assisting in coordinating and co-facilitating activities within the organization. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in data management software. The Data Entry Clerk will provide essential support to the Administration department by maintaining various functions such as filing, communication, event coordination, data entry, and training. All job functions are performed with a focus on customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our residents, staff, guests, and vendors. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The position requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, as well as the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as the Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for effectively conveying information and collaborating with team members. The role also demands normal mental and visual attention-to-detail abilities, as well as the capacity to analyze circumstances and make sound judgments based on the information available. Physical demands of the job include the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and extensive walking. The Data Entry Clerk will spend approximately 80% of their time sitting while performing tasks that require continuous visual attention to detail and manual coordination to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assist with coordinating and co-facilitating activities.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure proper documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, guests, and vendors.
  • Coordinate events and training sessions as needed.
  • Enter and manage data accurately in the system.
  • Provide support to the Administration department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of administrative or clerical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in data management software.
