About the position

The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk at BioLegend plays a crucial role in supporting the Manufacturing teams by streamlining production processes and ensuring accurate data entry. This position is integral to the production workflow, as it involves processing production orders, creating labels for Quality Control (QC) samples, and managing bulk materials produced by the Manufacturing teams. The clerk will collaborate closely with inventory controllers to establish and maintain accurate Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks, ensuring that all inventory data is up-to-date and precise. Additionally, the role requires reviewing, verifying, and scanning batch records into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which is essential for maintaining compliance and operational efficiency. The position operates on a second shift schedule from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, requiring the clerk to be fully on-site at BioLegend's facility in San Diego, California. The role demands adherence to ISO requirements, including following the "line of clearance" rule and complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or work instructions. The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk may also be tasked with other projects or responsibilities as needed, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of data entry processes within a manufacturing context. Responsibilities

  • Process production orders and create labels for QC samples and bulk materials.
  • Assist with batch records by pre-filling, reviewing, verifying, and scanning/attaching documents.
  • Help inventory controllers identify Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks.
  • Collaborate with Planning teams to resubmit re-test samples.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with ISO requirements, including following SOPs and work instructions.
  • Engage in other projects or responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 6 months of data entry experience OR a Biotechnology Certificate OR an Associate degree in a science or related field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior hands-on experience with Microsoft Navision System (NAV) or other ERP systems.
  • Some academic or industry laboratory experience.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $18.00 - $20.00/hour with potential for progression within the position.
  • 10% differential pay for second shift hours worked from 3:50 PM to 2:00 AM.
