About the position

The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the Manufacturing teams at BioLegend in San Diego, CA. This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and capable of managing data entry tasks efficiently. The primary responsibility of the Data Entry Clerk is to process production orders, which includes creating labels for Quality Control (QC) samples and bulk materials produced by the Manufacturing teams. The clerk will also work closely with inventory controllers to establish and maintain accurate Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks, ensuring that all data is correctly entered into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In addition to processing production orders, the Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and scanning/attaching batch records into the ERP system. This role requires adherence to ISO requirements, including following the 'line of clearance' rule and complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or work instructions. The position is full-time and operates on a second shift schedule from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, requiring the employee to be fully on-site at the BioLegend facility. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with at least six months of data entry experience, or possess a Biotechnology Certificate or an Associate's degree in a science-related field. Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) or other ERP systems is preferred, along with some academic or industry laboratory experience. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and maintaining high standards of quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Process production orders and create labels for QC samples and bulk materials.
  • Assist with batch records by pre-filling, reviewing, verifying, and scanning/attaching them.
  • Help inventory controllers identify Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks.
  • Collaborate with Planning teams to resubmit re-test samples.
  • Perform job duties under ISO requirements, including following the 'line of clearance' rule and adhering to SOPs or work instructions.
  • Complete other projects or responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 6 months of data entry experience OR Biotechnology Certificate OR Associate degree in a science or related field.
  • Prior hands-on experience with Microsoft Navision System (NAV) or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Some academic or industry laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
