About the position

DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking a full-time Data Entry Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our dealership accounting office. This role involves performing a variety of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions. The ideal candidate will possess high energy and the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating strong attention to detail and self-motivation. A desire to learn and grow within the role is essential, as the successful candidate will be integral to the smooth operation of our accounting processes. In this position, you will be responsible for coding and receipting payments, preparing and posting all bank deposits, and monitoring accounts for non-payment and delayed payment to ensure timely collections. You will also check, verify, and process invoices, sort, code, and enter accounts payable data, and process all vendor payments on a monthly basis. Maintaining vendor files and ensuring accurate record-keeping will be key components of your responsibilities. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our dealership and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and organization.

Responsibilities

• Code and receipt payments
• Prepare and post all bank deposits
• Monitor accounts for non-payment and delayed payment to collect as necessary
• Check, verify, and process invoices
• Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data
• Process all vendor payments monthly
• Maintain vendor files

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience with QuickBooks software required
• 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds software preferred
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Computer literate to include working with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience working with office equipment such as copier, mail machine, adding machine
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
