About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position at GEO Secure Services is a vital role within the South Bay Correctional & Rehabilitation Facility, focusing on maintaining the accuracy of GEOtrack, which is essential for the Program Department. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and discretion, as it involves handling sensitive information. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering and maintaining data in GEOtrack, ensuring that all necessary events are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. This includes enrolling participants in programs, completing participant records, and setting up events as required. The role also involves generating daily reports for the supervisor and assisting with data downloads from various systems into GEOtrack. In addition to data entry, the Data Entry Clerk will audit GEOtrack enrollment against the state database where possible, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Training on GEOtrack will be provided, and the incumbent will be expected to adhere to GEO policies, procedures, and specific facility regulations. The position may also involve other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Program Department. Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and maintenance of GEOtrack for Programs.
  • Enter information into GEOtrack accurately and timely, including enrollment of participants in programs and setting up events.
  • Submit required reports related to GEOtrack and CoC Program.
  • Audit GEOtrack enrollment with the state database where possible.
  • Assist with daily attendance and generate daily reports for the supervisor.
  • Provide support in all aspects of GEOtrack as it relates to programming and Continuum of Care (CoC).
  • Adhere to GEO policies, procedures, and specific facility regulations.
  • Receive GEOtrack training as provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Ability to work with computers and necessary software typically used by the department.
  • Thorough understanding of Excel and MS Office Software.
  • Demonstrated experience in office procedures and related clerical duties.
  • Ability to interact professionally in both individual and group settings.
  • Ability to work with a team of inmates and implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to make minor decisions in accordance with rules and regulations as they apply to work problems.
  • Ability to maintain company records and effectively deal with the public and inmates.
