About the position

The Data Entry Clerk will support the credentialing process for Delta Health's medical staff by accurately managing and entering provider information into the credentialing software. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and compliance of provider credentials for both internal staff and external health plans, working closely with the Medical Staff Coordinator and Insurance Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update records for new and existing medical providers into the Modio database and CAQH.
  • Monitor and manage provider alerts within the Modio database, tracking expirations of licensure, DEA registration, insurance, board certifications, and educational certifications.
  • Assist the Medical Staff Coordinator with the credentialing and re-credentialing process for medical providers, including reviewing applications and conducting background checks.
  • Collaborate with the Insurance Credentialing Specialist to ensure medical staff providers are credentialed and re-credentialed with multiple health plans.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records of all credentialing documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in data entry or administrative support within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in data management software, with strong computer skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
