About the position

The Data Entry Clerk/Dispatch Team Member at Davis Trucking LLC is responsible for managing communication between drivers and the dispatch team, ensuring timely completion of service requests. This role involves data entry, customer service, and logistical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. The dispatcher will assign jobs to drivers based on their capacities and assist in resolving any issues that arise during the day.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry tasks
  • Customer service tasks (answer e-mails, phone calls, etc)
  • Sort deliveries by pre-determined areas to create driver manifests
  • Enter, schedule, and assign jobs through Crown Freight Manager software
  • Determine if drivers have the capacity to accept additional jobs throughout the day
  • Respond to customer problems and engage in conflict resolution
  • Ensure that drivers are on schedule to complete their assigned jobs
  • Troubleshoot logistical issues

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to work well in a team
