About the position

The Data Entry Clerk at Ultragenyx plays a crucial role in the Data Entry department, responsible for accurately entering and processing medication orders into the pharmacy operating system. This position requires a dependable individual with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, who can work collaboratively in a team environment to support pharmacy operations and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process medication orders via the pharmacy's operating system.
  • Handle hand-written Physician Order Sheets and State Prescription Blanks.
  • Process electronic prescriptions and reorder requests.
  • Manage phone order physician sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome, but previous data entry experience is preferred.
  • 1 year or more of long-term, retail pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • PTCB national certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Moderate computer and typing skills required.
  • Basic calculation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Framework/DocuTrack is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Quick and independent learner.
