About the position

The Data Entry Clerk at Engle Martin & Associates plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate input of various forms of data using EM Edge. This position is responsible for entering customer and account data from source documents, reviewing data for errors, making necessary corrections, and verifying the accuracy of completed work while adhering to specified deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate and timely data entry and documentation using MS Office and EM Edge.
  • Updates and maintains accurate data within MS Office and EM Edge.
  • Performs various data collection and file maintenance tasks for efficient data retrieval.
  • Identifies and resolves data discrepancies and escalates issues to leadership.
  • Stays abreast of office and company policies, procedures, and practices; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other members of the organization across departments, divisions, and locations.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to EM and its endeavors.
  • Upholds the values of Engle Martin and Our Foundation.
  • Adheres to all applicable State Insurance Regulation requirements and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least six months of experience in an administrative or clerical role preferred.
  • Demonstrates thorough skill set in, or demonstrates ability to quickly master, a variety of office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).
  • Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify mistakes for escalation.
  • Excellent and precise keyboarding skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Time management and strong organization skills to manage large volumes of data effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct.
