The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Data Entry Clerk TEMP to join the Department of OBGYN in Miami, FL. This position involves inputting a variety of data into computer-based systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering data from source documents into applicable computer systems using various data entry devices, such as computers and scanners. The role requires gathering, classifying, and correcting information to be entered into the systems, as well as verifying all data entries for accuracy and completeness. In addition to data entry, the clerk will sort and file data entry records and other relevant materials, assist with general clerical tasks as needed, and maintain data confidentiality in accordance with University policies. The position adheres to both University and unit-level policies and procedures, safeguarding University assets. It is important to note that this list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be expanded to include other tasks as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Skills in data entry with minimal errors, the ability to understand and follow instructions, and attention to detail are essential. The candidate should also be able to process and handle confidential information with discretion and work independently or collaboratively. Proficiency in computer software, particularly Microsoft Office, is required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
