About the position

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for collecting and entering data into databases while maintaining accurate records of valuable company information. This temporary, part-time position requires essential data entry skills, including fast typing and attention to detail, as well as familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. The assignment is expected to last approximately 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Entering customer and account data from source documents within time limits
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
  • Scanning documents and printing files when needed
  • Keeping information confidential
  • Responding to queries for information and accessing relevant files
  • Complying with data integrity and security policies

Requirements

  • Experience with MS Office and MS Excel
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Attention to detail
  • Confidentiality
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
  • Background and drug screen required
