About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role focused on updating vendor profiles within the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and adept at managing multiple tasks to ensure timely progress. This role plays a crucial part in the implementation of an automated payment tool, requiring high accuracy in data entry and effective communication with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Update supplier information in the ERP system
• Establish and maintain communication with suppliers to obtain email contact and tax information
• Enter data with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Follow up with vendors to ensure a response is received
• Switch between tasks to maintain progress and meet deadlines
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to navigate and manage data
• Monitor and update customer profiles in the MRP system
• Handle transactional issues such as PO processing and following up on past dues
• Verify dates with suppliers and coordinate shipping schedules when necessary
• Perform any additional responsibilities as required, including training on-site when needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in High-Volume Data Entry is required
• Experience with Data Entry - Numeric is preferred
• Ability to Perform Data Entry tasks with high accuracy and speed
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation
• Engineering background or previous experience in an engineering environment would be beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining focus for extended periods
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent education level is required
• Basic understanding of database management is desirable
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
