About the position

The Data Entry Clerk at Charles Evans Center is responsible for accurately entering and managing patient and service data for Prescribed Alternative Services (PAS) and the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). This role emphasizes attention to detail, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations while supporting the mission of providing high-quality healthcare to underserved individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter patient and service data into PAS systems.
  • Maintain and update records as necessary, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate reports as needed for audits or performance reviews.
  • Ensure all patient information is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in an office setting; medical office experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and databases (e.g., Microsoft Excel, EHR systems).
  • Ability to spot errors and ensure accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and understand data requirements.
  • Organizational skills to keep track of multiple data sets and deadlines.
