About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position at Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is a full-time role focused on supporting the Transportation Administration Team. The primary responsibilities include accurate data entry of driver logs, preparation of payroll files, and customer service assistance, particularly for Spanish-speaking clients. This role is essential for ensuring timely payroll processing and invoicing, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Transportation Department.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter driver log data and customer data into the company's ERP systems and databases.
  • Prepare data for payroll processing, ensuring driver timesheets and logs are correct and submitted on time.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate driver payroll processing.
  • Compile and prepare invoices for customers, ensuring that all billing information is accurate.
  • Provide assistance with customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues, particularly with Spanish-speaking clients and drivers.
  • Maintain and update existing data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all data management tasks.
  • Assist in creating and formatting spreadsheets for reporting and analysis.
  • Work closely with the Transportation team to provide administrative support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees and customers.
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with strong data management skills; 10-key by touch is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in payroll processing and/or customer service is preferred but not required.
