About the position
The Data Entry Clerk position at Robert Half involves a variety of administrative tasks primarily focused on data entry, customer service, and inventory management within the construction industry. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Irmo, South Carolina, where the clerk will be responsible for processing customer applications, managing paperwork, and ensuring accurate data entry into company systems.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications
- Manage incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department
- Handle a high volume of paperwork and ensure it is organized and filed correctly
- Enter data from foreman sheets into company systems and verify its accuracy
- Coordinate schedules for routine and preventative maintenance of company vehicles
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary shop materials
- Track orders to ensure they are delivered on time and maintain inventory accuracy
- Process and input distribution invoices into the company's accounting system
- Reconcile any discrepancies and ensure all invoices are accounted for accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
