About the position

The Data Entry Clerk at Lincare Pharmacy Services Inc. is responsible for the meticulous preparation and submission of documentation to various Medicare contractors. This role involves following through the audit process, including navigating the levels of appeal for resolution. The employee will gather and prepare all necessary documentation for audit submissions, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete. Additionally, the clerk will pursue any additional documentation and correction requests that may arise during the audit process. In this position, effective communication is key, as the clerk will need to convey Medicare policies and procedures to both field and staff employees. The role may also require adjustments to accounts receivable in accordance with Medicare policy. The Data Entry Clerk may serve as a backup for other employees when they are out, ensuring that the workflow remains uninterrupted. The employee will work with assigned Audit Delivery System reports, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the auditing process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • General office skills such as proficiency in PC programs and data entry.
  • Typing, filing, and basic math skills are essential.
  • Ability to learn, research, and apply insurance policy and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of telephone etiquette and adequate oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective multitasking skills.
  • Positive and cooperative attitude in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
