About the position

We are seeking a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry in Bronx, New York. This role is focused on handling and maintaining both electronic and hardcopy records, performing data entry for work orders and purchase requisitions, and assisting with sensitive projects. The position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, allowing the successful candidate to utilize their data entry and customer service skills effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and maintain both electronic and hardcopy records efficiently and securely.
  • Perform data entry tasks to create work orders and purchase requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Assist department staff with sensitive and confidential projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team in the preparation and distribution of materials for procurement approval processes.
  • Take on additional duties and tasks as required and assigned by the management.
  • Ensure accurate customer credit records are maintained.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Process customer credit applications accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all tasks.

Requirements

  • Possess key skills in data entry, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and email correspondence
  • Ability to perform calculations accurately and efficiently
  • Prior experience with purchase requisitions and work orders, preferably in the real estate and property industry
  • Familiarity with Maximo or similar enterprise asset management software
  • High proficiency in typing and organizing files
  • Experience with scanning documents and maintaining digital records
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
