About the position

The New Business Operations Specialist is responsible for data entry, validation of records, and maintenance of insurance accounts at a client's office in Rochester, NY. This role requires a high level of customer service and support for both internal and external clients, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and maintaining the integrity of client information.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing and data entry of insurance records.
  • Validation and maintenance of new and existing insurance accounts.
  • Provide customer service and support to internal and external clients.
  • Ensure the security of confidential client information during data entry.
  • Initiate new account setups and process documentation for Workers Compensation and other insurance lines.
  • Meet department quality and productivity standards for data input.
  • Maintain required documents for compliance with state and federal insurance regulations.
  • Provide necessary documentation to insurance agencies and partners.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and insurance transactions.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and place outbound calls to clients and partners.
  • Research and resolve product and service-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications for account setup and maintenance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners.
  • Utilize multiple software applications for job duties, including HRIS and Microsoft Access.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • AAS in Management, Business or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of one year customer service or insurance-related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Property & Casualty insurance license is a plus.
