The Data Entry Specialist at WestCare is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of data entered into the WestCare Database and partner data systems. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining data integrity and supporting the organization's mission. The Data Entry Specialist will work closely with the Database Administrator to facilitate high-quality data entry processes, ensuring that data is accurately transferred to and from county HMIS systems and the WCDB client tracking database. In this role, the specialist will be tasked with collecting and digitizing data from hard copy forms and financial documents, performing weekly audits of HMIS and internal data sources, and identifying any missing data or inconsistencies. The specialist will also report data variations and non-compliance issues to the Database Administrator, ensuring that all information is reported and corrected as necessary. Regular communication with case management and supervisory staff, as well as the Data team, will be essential to address data quality issues on a weekly basis. Additionally, the Data Entry Specialist will be involved in various data entry projects as assigned by the Data Team and will assist other WestCare staff in a collaborative manner. This role also includes promoting the SJVV initiative within the veteran community through public speaking, networking, and other outreach efforts. The specialist must embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of the WestCare Foundation while performing all other duties as assigned.
