About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position involves accurately transferring order and inventory information from paper documents into a digital database. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in typing and has strong computer skills to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboard.
  • Type in data provided directly from customers and vendors.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Update existing data.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk, office clerical warehouse experience a plus.
  • Exceptional knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, VLOOKUP necessary).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware.
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
