About the position

We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our team at Tom Maceri and Son Inc. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $17 to $20 per hour. The primary responsibility of the Data Entry Clerk is to accurately transfer information into our database system. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our data and ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying data, updating existing information, entering new information, and creating spreadsheets. You will also be tasked with collecting information directly from customers and entering it into the database. Additionally, you will create accurate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, confirm the accuracy of data by comparing it to original documents, and perform regular backups of data. Maintaining an organized filing system of original documents is also a key part of this position. The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with other team members to ensure that all data is processed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities

  • Use a keyboard, optical scanners, or other office equipment to transfer information into the database system

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar position is preferred
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute with a high level of accuracy
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of databases
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment such as fax machines and printers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
