Responsibilities

  • Preparing and sorting documents for data entry.
  • Entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted.
  • Creating data backups as part of a contingency plan.
  • Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents.
  • Complying with data integrity and security policies.
  • Running reports and compiling data as requested.
  • Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or related role.
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing systems is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
