About the position

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in New York. This role is primarily situated within the industry of data management and will be based in our New York office. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be tasked with reviewing video footage, confirming parking regulations, and surveying curbsides when necessary. The position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for maintaining organized and accurate records of all reviewed footage and conducted surveys, ensuring that all work is completed within the given deadlines and meets the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you will need to address any uncertainties or discrepancies in parking regulations by liaising with the relevant departments or authorities. This role is essential in ensuring that all New York City blocks are covered and regulations confirmed, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the data management process.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze video footage taken of parking regulation signs within New York City.
  • Accurately mark up pre-developed maps in PDF format to confirm parking regulation signs.
  • Conduct on-site surveys of curbsides within New York City when video footage is insufficient.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all reviewed footage and conducted surveys.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all New York City blocks are covered and regulations confirmed.
  • Utilize basic office skills to accurately process and manage data.
  • Address any uncertainties or discrepancies in parking regulations by liaising with the relevant departments or authorities.
  • Regularly update the team and management on progress and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure all work is completed within the given deadlines and meets the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies and regulations while performing duties.

Requirements

  • Possess basic office skills including typing, filing, and managing records.
  • Proficient in the use of various computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
