About the position

Robert Half currently has a few ongoing opportunities for Data Entry clerks in the Woodland Hills, CA area. We are seeking meticulous individuals with an eye for detail and a passion for precision. As a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient input of data into our systems. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to precision will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our databases. You will be responsible for accurately inputting data from various sources into our database systems while maintaining a high level of precision. Additionally, you will conduct regular and thorough data quality checks to identify and rectify discrepancies, organize/manage electronic and paper files, ensuring accessibility and ease of retrieval, and collaborate with team members to verify data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly. You will also assist in the preparation of reports by collecting and summarizing impeccably accurate data, while upholding the confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the database by entering new and updated customer and account information, preparing source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities, processing customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies, resolving deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution, and entering customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and efficient input of data into systems.

  • Maintain the database by entering new and updated customer and account information.
  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Establish entry priorities.
  • Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies.
  • Resolve deficiencies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years' experience in data entry or related field required.
  • Proficient in Alpha-numeric and/or 10 Key by touch Data Entry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, Donor Perfect, or another database.
