About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position involves receiving and preparing customer orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of information and ensuring customer satisfaction through precise data entry and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the system.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products, pricing, order classifications, shipping methods, and printing methods utilized in the order entry process.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of operating systems, customer portals, and customer web stores.
  • Interact with customers to solicit clarity on questionable specifications as needed.
  • Complete all other assigned data entry functions in the computerized system.
  • Assist other departments with clerical and/or data entry functions as needed.
  • Complete special projects when assigned.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of experience in heavy data entry.
  • Excellent data entry speed and accuracy required.
  • Ability to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent computer software skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure production environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with solid attention to details and accuracy.
