About the position

The Data Entry Clerk will play a vital role in the local government sector in Baltimore, Maryland, focusing on managing and updating data within the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. This position requires accuracy in data entry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across various locations within the city.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient data entry across various systems, including the WIC program
• Maintain and update customer records consistently
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Exhibit strong communication skills in interactions with both team members and customers
• Demonstrate excellent performance and attendance record
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data integrity and security policies
• Be prepared to work at various locations within the city
• Use personal transportation as needed to reach different work locations
• Exhibit strong skills in data entry and familiarity with health care systems.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in a data entry role or similar position
• Proficient in the use of WICSIS or similar data entry software
• Familiarity with health care industry and related terminologies
• Strong attention to detail and ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent typing speed and data entry skills
• Good understanding of database structures and management systems
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
