About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position is a full-time, temp-to-hire role based in Southwest Houston. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, with at least two years of data entry experience and proficiency in QuickBooks. This role focuses on entering and updating financial data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting processes within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update data into company systems and databases with high accuracy.
  • Review and verify financial data, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
  • Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in records.
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage invoices, payments, and related accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Perform other clerical tasks as required, including filing, scanning, and data verification.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of data entry experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
