About the position

We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Data Entry Clerk, your main function will be to handle and process heavy contracts, maintain detailed and accurate records of transactions, and ensure seamless data entry operations in our Purchasing Department. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading heavy contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness, processing purchase orders and other purchasing-related documents, and performing data entry tasks with high levels of accuracy. You will utilize computer systems for data entry and ensure that all data is entered and maintained correctly. Additionally, you will respond to inquiries related to data entry and assist in resolving any discrepancies, monitor and maintain accurate customer accounts, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. Continuous skill and knowledge updates in data entry, purchasing, and contract review will be essential, as well as collaborating with the team to ensure smooth and efficient data entry operations. You may also be required to perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread heavy contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process purchase orders and other purchasing-related documents.
  • Perform data entry tasks, including numeric data entry, with high levels of accuracy.
  • Utilize computer systems for data entry and ensure that all data is entered and maintained correctly.
  • Respond to inquiries related to data entry and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate customer accounts, updating details as necessary.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge in data entry, purchasing, and contract review.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient data entry operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data entry tasks.
  • Self-Driven, Self-Learning.
  • Proficient in computer data entry, including numeric data entry.
  • Ability to process purchase orders and related documents.
  • Experience in performing data entry in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entering data.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using data entry software and tools.
  • Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies related to data entry.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Contracts or Paralegal experience (Preferred but not required)
  • Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory.
