About the position
The Data Entry Specialist position at YUPRO involves operating data entry devices to verify and input data accurately. The position is a contract opportunity with a hybrid work schedule available after initial training.
Responsibilities
- Input data from various source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills into specified data fields using keyboards or scanners.
- Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entering it.
- Identify and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors for correction.
- Compare data with source documents or re-enter data for verification to detect any discrepancies.
- Maintain logs of activities and completed tasks.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
- Background in banking or experience with checks is a plus.
- Mainframe experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
