About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position at Robert Half is a contract-to-hire role within the manufacturing industry, located in Centennial, Colorado. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and update the inventory system, process received goods, and ensure data integrity in records. The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry tasks, as well as effective communication skills to handle customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process received goods by opening packages, identifying product quantities and product numbers, and manually filling out the associated product form with information.
  • Ensure all forms are accurately and completely filled out and legible.
  • Label products with appropriate tags.
  • Enter data from handwritten forms into the computer system.
  • Keep track of and interpret information using computer data entry skills.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in customer credit records.
  • Use typing skills (45 - 60 WPM) to ensure efficient data entry.
  • Leverage writing skills to maintain clear and accurate records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in Computer Data Entry and Data Entry
  • Experience in receiving and handling documents
  • Typing speed of 45 - 60 WPM
  • Excellent writing skills for effective communication
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in data entry tasks
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to learn new software and systems related to data entry and document management
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify errors in data
