About the position

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Data Entry Clerk for a retail business located in Shadyside, PA. This position is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering a chance to grow within the company. The Data Entry Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of order processing, inventory management, and office administration. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in various software applications and a basic understanding of IT systems. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable work schedule for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and facilitate vendor purchasing
• Review orders and coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate order processing
• Conduct monthly sales closing and mission reporting
• Enter and post vendor invoices for accounting processing
• Assign and maintain accurate inventory records
• Track inventory and manage consignment inventory
• Add inventory to customer orders and report on inventory status
• Scan and file digital and physical records
• Order office supplies and manage shipping tasks
• Answer phones and provide administrative support

Requirements

• Experience with Windows operating system
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Basic knowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
• Prior experience in Data Entry
• Understanding of the retail business model is a plus
