About the position

Kelly® is seeking a Service Data Entry Clerk to work at a premier client in Eagleville, PA. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a temporary-to-hire position with the potential for full-time employment based on excellent attendance and performance. The company has been manufacturing premier safety lighting for first-responders, industrial workers, and military purposes for over 50 years. The position is completely onsite, and remote work is not an option. The Service Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering customer contact information, verifying incomplete or illegible information, and recording products and quantities received in each shipment. The role requires alerting the Supervisor of any special requests, pulling up computer records for status inquiries, and relaying status to customers via phone. Additionally, the clerk will be responsible for filing service records, retrieving filed records, purging files periodically, and assisting the Supervisor with assigned tasks. Maintaining a neat and orderly work area, adhering to company policies, and following safety rules are also essential aspects of the job. Responsibilities

  • Accurately entering customer contact information, such as name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Verifying any incomplete or illegible customer supplied contact information.
  • Accurately recording the products and quantities received in each shipment.
  • Alerting the Supervisor of any special or unusual requests.
  • Pulling up computer records for status inquiries.
  • Relaying status to customers via phone.
  • Filing Service Records, Service Quotes, and related paperwork.
  • Retrieving filed records when requested.
  • Purging files periodically for storage.
  • Assisting Supervisor with assigned tasks.
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
  • Adhering to company policies and practices.
  • Following safety rules and common sense safety practices.
  • Keeping Supervisor aware of problems and schedules.
  • Interfacing effectively with others.
  • Participating in sound quality practices.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Data entry experience and typing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply basic arithmetic functions.
  • Computer literate within company provided software systems.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions.
  • Able to stand, use hands, talk, and hear for extended periods.
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a moderate noise level environment.
